What speed and how many modems does BartNET have?
Though we are constantly upgrading, at the time of this writing BartNET was servicing 144 phone lines connected to high-quality 56k V.90 US Robotics modems. This ensures a very low user-to-modem ratio, which is very important in the ISP industry. Most companies retain a user-to-modem ratio of around 8:1 or 10:1, where BartNET is most always hovering around 3:1. This all translates to no annoying busy signals.
